This photo shows PIA Fokker F-27 sporting Dutch pre-delivery registration PH-FPU at Fokker Company's aircraft plant in Holland in 1971. The Mark 600 Fokker F-27 was due for delivery to PIA under registration AP-AWM but due to separation of East Pakistan as independent country of Bangladesh in December 1971 a number of aircraft in PIA fleet became surplus. This resulted in PIA not taking delivery of this aircraft. Later this Fokker F-27 was gifted by the Dutch government to Biman Bangladesh Airlines of newly independent Bangladesh. The aircraft sported registration S2-ABJ during its service with Biman
